SCIM have a Book of Remembrance in which to commemorate babies who have
been lost in miscarriage. Losing a baby in miscarriage can often mean
that you have little or nothing to mark your pregnancy with your baby.
To make an entry in our Book of Remembrance we require the following details:
1. The babies name (only if you have named your baby)
2. Parents names
3. Date (the date that the baby died or the date that the baby was due)
4. A special message of up to ten words written in memory of your baby.
5. Date of entry (today's date)
A separate entry may be made for each baby
We would invite parents and other family members to see their
babies entry in our Book of Remembrance should you wish to do so.
However parents who make entries in the Book will be given
a Certificate of Remembrance showing their babies record. We will
also require the following further details for postage of your
certificate. You should include your name, address and post code.
This service is free however a stamped addressed envelope (A4) size or
a donation to cover the cost of the certificate and postage would be
much appreciated. Once these details have been forwarded to us we will
place your babies entry in our Book of Remembrance and forward you your
Certificate of remembrance.
Cheques should be made payable to SCIM and sent together with the
details of your entry to: Scottish Care & Information on
Miscarriage (SCIM) 41 Merryland street Govan Glasgow G51
2QG.
Should you require any further details we can be contacted on 0141 445 3727
