Hi
I've just been diagnosed with polysistic ovaries. I do not know a lot about it. I have seen websites that say I can become infertile which is really upsetting as I would love to have another child. I had one child 11 years ago and Im not too sure if my condition has gotten worse to prevent me from having another. My period has been getting shorter & shorter for the last 3 months, could this mean I am becoming infertile. I would love to hear from anyone who has the same condition or who knows anything about it. It would be great to hear about anything I could do to reduce the loss of fertility or preventing diabeties.

HI I just experienced my second miscarriage, I was wondering if anyone with Polysistic Ovary Syndrome has been able to get pregnant without medical help. I am only 23 but my husband and I are ready to have our own and we do not like the thought of fertility drugs. Does anyone have any advice? I am a very active person, vegetarian and always watch my sugar intake so what else should I be doing to ensure that I get pregnant?? help!!!

I WAS DIAGNOS WITH POLYSISTIC OVARY IN 2004, THOUGH I HAVE NO SIGNS OF THIS APART FROM IRREGULAR PERIOD.AFTER THE INITAIL DIANOSIS I WAS PUT ON A PILL TO MAKE MY PERIOD MORE FREQUENT, HOWEVER I HAVE RECENTLY FOUND OUT I AM PREGNANT TO MY SUPRISE WITH NO MEDICAL HELP AT ALL, SO IT IS POSSIBLE IF YOU TREAT YOUR BODY RIGHT.

Hi! I have a 7 years old son now and I was on the contraceptive pill for more than 5 years and decided to discontinue it because we wanted another child, all I thought I will get pregnant easily like my first pregnancy but I was wrong. My period started to be irregular,no period for 3 or 4 months and just today my doctor told me that I have,Polycystic Ovary from my scan.I kinda expected it with the symptoms Iam having but Iam in denial.Iam a nurse in profession but still I find it hard to cope with it.Iam awaiting to see gyne doctor for help.I know this is reversible so Iam not loosing hope and so my husband.

Hi hello! everybody I am a 24 year old african american female who was just diagnosed with polycistic ovarian syndrome 2 days ago. I have been having the symptoms of it for over 6 years, and the GYN would always say oh! we're going to put u on this contaceptive to help regulate your period, (that didn't help). Now they are saying even though I haven"t had a menstrual in over 6 months that I should still take the birth control(?) I need some feedback.... Another issue I am having is that they told me I could be at risk for endometrious cancer? I am totally going crazy. I want to concive a child but with this condition I don't think it will happen. Anyone that can relate or give me information on this feel free to leave message in my e-mail or on this bulleton.

Hi Ms.M I am a 32 year old female with no children. I just wanted you to know that you are not alone. I have had a period for six months straight and then went a time where I did not have one for a whole year. It is so fustrating because I cannot take birth control because I get blood clots. My doctor says that I can still get pregnant, but who knows if that is true. I have never been pregnant a day in my life and I want a child more than anything. I was given some type of hormone pill to take for three months, now I get a cycle almost every month but they only last three days. I don't know what is going on, but with so many of us going through the same thing it seems like they should know.

hi.
i have recently been diagnosed with polysistic ovaries and i am on medication which is called metformin this medicine is used for the treatment of diabeties but is also effective for the treatment of polysistic ovaries it works by restoring your bodies insulin and regulating your periods as well as making you ovulate.

hi i have had poltsistic ovaries for just over two years, its reassuring to hear of people who have concieved with this syndrome. I am now just about to take a tablet on my next cycle to help me release an egg and hopefully become pregnant,if this doesnt work i have to have a pre-operation in 6months, so fingers crossed!!!!
